So yeah, if they're going to do this tomb thing, we should be able to designate a whole room as a tomb for any unassigned dwarf, much like the dormitory zone system. Once I create a situation where I've created an overlapping tomb, the only thing I can do that has worked (and there may be another fix for this that I don't know about) is to remove all tombs and place them again on open coffins.Įven doing that I messed up and placed a new tomb over a used coffin, and the dwarves buried a second dwarf in an already full coffin. However that hasn't completely fixed it for me. To figure out if you've done that, you'll need to click on every tomb zone indivually and look for red text saying "overlapping tomb." You'll then need to delete the problematic tomb(s). My expreience has been that no burials take place at all, even if there are valid tombs available. When you create a new world from Dwarf Fortress’ menu, you’ll see a few parameters for the world you create. Also, the tomb zone icon looks like a grey open casket, so when you click on zones, if you have 1x1 tombs, all your coffins will now look like they are open, which is also confusing. If you place it over two coffins or more, only one will be used. Click the zone menu and click tomb, and place it over ONLY ONE COFFIN AT A TIME. It looks like now you are required to make tombs. Tombs previously were only required for things like nobles. ![]() In the previous versions of the game you could assign for burial any coffin, and did not have to make tombs. ![]()
